Funding Profile The Hope Foundation currently receives no grants but is entirely supported both by the generosity of a large number of local schools in the London Borough of Bromley who donate their Harvest Festival produce each year and also by the generous giving of the individuals in the church here at BCC. What we offer We provide and deliver bags of food on a monthly basis to those referred to us by the above organisations until a client’s immediate financial crisis is over. We have a regular review system in place to check whether the support is still required as sometimes only 1 month’s help is needed to tide them over a particular crisis such as temporary withdrawal of benefits. The service we provide has become invaluable and really helps clients to feel valued. This support has far-reaching results for those people who are desperate for help but whose plight can be all too easily taken for granted. How can an organisation make a referral? Each person will need to be referred to us by a recognised agency. This referral helps us to identify genuine need and establish the extent of the help required for example, dependant’s details, living conditions and nature of the present crisis.There are two ways a person can be referred by the agency:

• i) A telephone call
• ii) A written request on headed paper

It is helpful for all parties concerned to phone first to establish whether the help we can offer is relevant to the need and to arrange a convenient time for collection or delivery.
