Welcome to The Hope Foundation
Hope Foundation is the Community outreach arm of BCC, "Restoring hope, dignity and a future" . Since January 2011 over 1000 people a month are supported with food, furniture, baby baskets, clothing, school uniform, cleaning, fresh bread, starter packs containing small starting out goods for the kitchen. "We were put on earth to make a contribution, God designed us to make a difference, to add to life and not just take from it". Lydia Vance Director of the Hope Foundation.
Referrals come from many organisations primarily in the London Borough of Bromley including:
- Social Services
- Affinity Sutton Housing Support Teams
- The Citizens Advice Bureau
- Youth Offenders Team

Testimony
Harry Taylor 2011 Housing Heroes Awards finalist: Temporary Supported Housing Officer Affinity Sutton "Lydia, as ever I am greatly impressed. I think the general consensus of our team is that the Hope Foundation sets a benchmark for how we would like voluntary organisations to be. If you say you can do something, you do it and follow up with the logistics to get it done. That is so important to us and our tenants. The Slow Cooker idea is great as we are now finding an increasing amount of people coming to us with nothing. Many thanks to you and your team for your continued help and support".

Additional Services
The Hope Foundation has expanded to provide other essentials such as towels and bed linen, baby clothes and special 'Baby Baskets' which contain basic items and gifts for the baby. We also provide 'Starter Packs' containing items for individuals who have recently moved into their own accommodation, these contain small starting out goods for the kitchen. When available we provide larger items of furniture. > Transport: For those living in outlying areas that want to attend BCC's church services and would otherwise be unable to do so.> Fresh Bread: From December 08 daily fresh bread has been kindly donated to us by a local bakery, Sponge Kitchens. On four days each week the fresh bread that has not been sold that day is collected by The Hope Foundation. This is distributed to clients who are already receiving food from us and also to the many other organisations that we are in connection with such as hostels, refuges, Youth Offenders Teams etc.> School Uniforms: In partnership with The Bromley Children's Project we aim to provide good quality school uniforms to families in need who often struggle with affording to purchase these expensive but essential items. This will help children to integrate with the life of the school by helping them feel accepted and valued.
