Dear Lydia,

I just wanted to write to thank you and your colleagues at The Hope Foundation for the wonderful hampers you delivered this year for our patients here at St Christopher's and at Harris Hospiscare.  I was also completely overwhelmed by the gifts for the children (a special thank you for personalising these gifts - what a lovely touch!)

 Here is some feedback from one of the nurses who took out a hamper to one of her clients:

"I want to let you know just how much the Christmas hamper meant to this elderly couple who have no family.  They have never had anything from anyone and were thrilled to bits to have received a hamper.  They were feeling very isolated and depressed due to being snowed in (and the patients' post-radiotherapy symptoms) but when I visited they had happy tears due to receiving such a lovely and unexpected surprise, and they now believe that the true meaning of Christmas is not lost.  Thank you so much....."

Thank you seems so woefully inadequate in the light of how much joy you have given to so many people, but I really am grateful for your ongoing support
